#619 Worship – Testimony of Baptism

Good Day Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Baptism, a symbol of one’s acceptance of Christ as Savior, is a worship experience for both the one being baptized and the congregation who witnesses the ordinance.  Going through the waters of baptism is a spiritual act of worship that is an acknowledgement by the one being baptized that Christ has been accepted by faith as Savior and Lord and a testimony before the world that he or she is being obedient to God’s Word by following salvation with baptism.  This is a meaningful act of worship and celebration of God’s glorious grace in the life of the one being baptized; likewise, as the congregation observes the baptism, each person in attendance should be mindful of that same amazing grace that was from the Source of their own salvation.  Upon observing a baptism, an appropriate response to our Lord’s worthiness for worship is a hearty “amen.”

Think back on your own baptism and recall how much you were thankful to God for salvation and how you felt privileged to worship such a wonderful Savior!

“Buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead.”   (Colossians 2:12)

May God Richly Bless You Today
