#610 Worship – Singing from the Heart

Good Day Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Have you noticed how so many Christians go through the motions when it comes to singing in our worship services?  The traditional, standard hymns have been sung for so many years we have memorized most of them, causing us to sing them as we are thinking of everything other than the words of the hymns.  A similar circumstance arises when we are participating in a worship service with predominantly praise songs.  We often get caught up in the tempo and beat of the praise songs, disregarding the words and meanings contained in the songs.  In fact, many of the praise songs contain the words of traditional hymns put to revised music.  It is not pleasing to the Lord when we fail to worship and celebrate Him in our singing.  Regardless of whether we can carry a tune or not, we are to sing joyfully to the Lord, worshipping and celebrating Him through the songs.

As you worship the Lord in song, joyfully raise your voice, singing His praises!

“O come, let us sing unto the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.”  (Psalm 95:1)

May God Richly Bless You Today
