Good Day Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Knowing that man’s likeness to God is not a bodily physical likeness, we therefore have one of the points of resemblance, that of “spirituality,” man’s spiritual nature. When man was created, God breathed into him life, a spiritual life. Along with God being “the Eternal Spirit,” man’s spiritual nature is immortal with his eternal destiny determined by choice of believing by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ or refusing to do so. We appreciate spiritual realities through the inworking of the Holy Spirit who indwells each of us who have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. This characteristic of spirituality is often singled out as representing how we are the ‘image of God;” however, there are other characteristics which belong to us that can also identify us as having been made in the image of God. We will look at another resemblance tomorrow.
As you think about the reality of your spiritual nature being eternal, think also about where you are going to spend your eternity!
“But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.” (Job 32:8)
