#1022 April Fools – Foolish Plans and Actions

First published April 3, 2013

Good Day Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

There are those who do not initially fit the profile of foolish persons, and then they turn around and make foolish plans and perform foolish acts that totally contradict their initial profile.  In the Old Testament Aaron and Miriam certainly did not fit the profile of fools in that they loved God and had served Him faithfully; however, petty jealousy against Moses led them to criticize both his leadership and wife, sinning against God and His servant.  After they had sinned they realized how foolish they had acted and asked Moses to not hold their sin against them, but it was too late and they suffered for their sin.  They both had evidenced foolish thoughts and motives and instead of suppressing them they foolishly acted fully on them, making them fools in the sight of God.

Are your thoughts, plans and motives foolish?  Thoroughly examine yours before acting!

“And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow:  and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.  And Aaron said unto Moses, ‘Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.’”   (Numbers 12:10-11)

May God Richly Bless You Today
