Good Day Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
A peacemaker simply works for the common good of the public, using influence and wisdom to recognize, reconcile, and restore contending parties to a state of unity. We have noticed that Jesus did not say: “Blessed are the pacifists,” but, “Blessed are the peacemakers,” those who make peace. This is the first instance we have heard Jesus use the word “peace,” and based on His recital of the previous Beatitudes, we realize that He is the true Peacemaker. Although the history of our people demonstrates that God is a God of judgment, He is also righteous in His judgment and truly the Father of peace. Those who cause strife and conflict claim they are the strong ones; however, they are not of God as those who are the peacemakers are the ones who will be blessed. Being a peacemaker should not be looked upon as a sign of weakness as it is the peacemaker who seeks wisdom, guidance, and strength from above for his task.
Do you enjoy watching or even causing strife amongst those around you? Ask the Lord today to touch your heart and give you the desire to be a peacemaker for Him!
“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)
May God Richly Bless You Today
